Roark Women’s Gym

Roark Gyms offers women-only sessions at our clubs in Cape Town and Johannesburg. These classes are customised to meet the fitness requirements of women by combining strength, intensity and cardio workouts. Our sessions are designed to help you explore and appreciate your body’s capabilities and potential.

Gym workout for women

Your class will begin with stretching and a warm-up, which will be followed by the planned fitness routine for that day. Our gym program for women varies on a daily basis and is designed to build up your strength and fitness, with each workout building on the previous session.Depending on the day’s program, a session could be circuit based, focus on rounds of movements, or follow a linear series of movements.

Each session is run by one of our expert coaches, who’ll explain the day’s program and its movements to you before the workout starts. During the session the coach will monitor your progress and assist you in mastering any movements or techniques you find challenging.


We use functional gym spaces to run our sessions, so you’re not going to find machines with cup-holders and DSTV feeds. Our women only gyms are equipped with circuit equipment, spin bikes, free weights, boxes, squat racks and more. Each gym also offers access to change rooms and showers.

We offer classes on weekdays and Saturdays at the following locations and times:

Womens Gym in Cape Town:

  • 6:00 am – 7:00 am
  • 7:00 am – 8:00 am
  • 17:30 pm – 18:30 pm
  • 18:30 pm – 19:30 pm

Saturdays: 8:00 am – 9:00 am

Womens Gym in Johannesburg:

  • 5:30 am – 6:30 am
  • 6:30 am – 7:30 am
  • 17:30 pm – 18:30 pm
  • 18:30 pm – 19:30 pm

Saturdays: 8:00 am – 9:00 am

Membership fees

Our membership packages start at R620 a month for a 12 month membership. Packages are calculated according to the number of sessions you sign up for per week, as well as the length of your gym contract. You can find our full fee structure on our membership fees page.

We do not offer membership packages of less than three sessions a week or three months. We consider a three month commitment with at least three sessions a week the minimum investment required to get results from our approach to fitness.
